Can't use custom fields

Webserver type and version: Apache 1.3 (latest version of branch 1)
PHP version: 5.1.2
MySQL server and version: MySQL - 5.0.21


I'm having problems with custom fields.

I go to Leads, then Create Lead, and then I fill some of my custom fields.

When I click Save, I go to the details view, and the values I filled in the custom fields are NOT saved.


Why?


I have read the forum and applied all the solutions you provide, but I can't still save them... (i have changed the value of the "mssql" in the CustomField.php, checked user permissions, etc).

Are any of them date fields? I am using mysql 5.0.22 and the update queries are returning errors if I do not enter a date of '0000-00-00' into the fields. That causes all custom field updates to fail. I have been told to change the php code so that '0000-00-00' is the default for the custom field but haven't got around to doing that yet.
