    Default Can't use navigation anymore

    Hi,

    another problem with my new installation.
    I can't use my navigation anymore.
    Mouse Over doesn't work.
    I have
    Sales
    Home
    Accounts
    Contacts
    Opportunities
    Leads
    And can use those - but I can't access marketing, support etc.

    It worked until an hour ago.
    I imported some leads and after that some time it didn't work anymore.
    Already did a quick repair, logged out and in again and tried English and German version.

    Any ideas?

    Make sure attributes site_url and host_name in your config.php point to the right address.

    Both variables are correct and unchanged since the installation process.
    The problem still remains.

    Try clearing the settings for the user with the issue, I had a similar issue after upgrading and this fixed it

    Did this as well without any change.
    Still can't use my navigation

    PS: Just tried to create a new user and the problem still remains - no user can use the navigation.
    Is it a template issue or a file permission issue?

    Reset user preferences for some buggy user.
    Additionally double check tabs and group tabs configuration at admin page.

    No user can use the navigation anymore.
    Neither the admin user nor normal users, independent on whether I created them before the issue arose or afterwards.

    The tabs seems to be normal - nothing is hidden since it is a relatively fresh installation.

    I resetted settings for all users, including the admin user.

    The tabs all show up, I just can't use them (mouse over and klick don't work anymore)

    It must be a JS -

    I repaired everything connected to JS as well as I did a quick repair.

    More over, I deleted the whole cache and logged off and on again.

    Still - no user can use the navigation

    I tried to figure out which JS file is responsible for the navigation using FireBug but I couldn't come up with an answer.

    I way which could help you to test and may find out the root cause, is to try to create a menu.php file in some of your modules, and after repair/rebuild check if the system used it. In this file you can relate a menu entry with a URL.

    May if you debug this especify functionality you can find more things which could be causing the reported issue..

    Thanks for this idea.
    I coied the Menu.php from Leads into the Audit folder and renamed some values ('Leads' into 'Audit', etc.)
    Uploaded it, cleared the cache but no change.

    More over, I had a closer look into the Leads/Menu.php
    In the menu you'll see this link:
    index.php?module=Leads&action=index&parentTab=Sale s
    but if you search for parent in the Menu.php file, you won't find it.
    So the menu doesn't get generated from the Menu.php file?
    Even the whole Leads folder doesn't contain the string parentTab ...

    So .. I uploaded all files again and overwrote them.
    Unfortunately the problem still maintains.

    Is my assumption correct, that the error must come from the database somewhere?
    So it wouldn't even be possible to install Sugar completely new and inject the db since the error is there somewhere?
    Would it be possible to just export contacts, leads, accounts, opportunities with all their relationships to import it later again?
