Case record ID in Reports Module

Does anyone know how I can get the case record ID to show up as a field to display in the report module. I know that this is not built in, so I am wondering if there is a modification I can make in the code to force the field to show up for display in reports.
I am running Sugar 5.2.0a on IIS 6 with PHP 5.2 on a MS-SQL database. Thanks.

Is there anyone else who would benefit from being able to edit a spreadsheet offline line and then upload back into sugar? Without record ID in reports I cannot do this. Also I cannot manage related fields in this way either such as associated contacts (responsible persons to close issues). This is mandatory from our project management staff. Anyone?
