Cases dashlet "close" column missing - how to get it back?

I'm new to Sugar, but I searched forums and can't find an answer: The Cases dashlet had a "Close" column which is now missing from everyone's dashlet, and I can't find it to add it back in! I assumed it would be in Admin > Studio > Edit Module > Cases > Edit Layout > List View but it's not there and I've spent hours looking elsewhere. Any nudges in the right direction would be appreciated!

I've tried manually editing a few of the files with no luck, then finally replaced ALL files in the modules\Cases folder and still can't see the "Close" option on the dashlet (and can't add it from Studio!)

Can anyone point me in a new direction please? Is there a way to reload just the Cases module? Should I be looking somewhere besides the Cases module?

Isn't that the 'Status' field which contains an option called 'Closed'... or New... or Pending etc.?
