Which CE version is this?

Hello Sugar Community,
This is a continuation of my first post where I was receiving a common error while accessing certain areas of Sugar.

Warning: chmod() [function.chmod]: Operation not permitted in /mnt/w0602/d07/s13/b02fb8df/www/geared.ca/sugar/include/utils/sugar_file_utils.php on line 196

The common answer to this problem was to chown my sugar directory to the same owner as my web server to give it the proper access to read/write/execute. However my hosting provider will not allow me access to the chown command and will only let me change group permissions which has not resolved anything. I found out that the problem lies with this portion of the error..

I am unable to change permissions or ownership of this location on my web server. My hosting provider has reiderated this point, and offered me a work around solution. They told me I am not allowed to change or access these directories but there is a previous version of SugarCRM that does not need permissions or access from the directory above. He sent me an email with a link to their Demo SugarCRM which is running that version. He did not tell me the version or give me the login info for their SugarCRM.

My question is to you all,
What is the most recent version of SugarCRM CE that does not require access to the directory above?

Hi Geared,

I think you face the problem with the permission of installing sugarcrm. Click here may be this link help you. The most recent version of sugarcrm is 5.2.0.

I did do the permissions for me recent installation, however I did not realize my sugar directory was under a different group than the web server. So I would have to follow the exception instructions on that link. Thank you for reminding me, I will give that a try!
