Hello Forum.
is there a possibility to change the database I'm working with? I'd like to use Sugar for two businesses and I think the best way to do so is to work with two different databases and switch between them.
Thx for your answers

Sugar does not provide this type of functionality.
However, there are a couple of options that one can apply in order to address this need:
1. Use the Teams feature to separate data. The Open Source version does not include Teams functionality, but there is a module you can download and install to obtain that functionality. You can also upgrade to the Pro or Enterprise version or Info@Hand. The latter three all offer Teams functionality directly built-in.
2. Install Sugar to two different folders and each business would run its own independed copy with its own database.
I would encourage you to consider using option 2 versus option 1. For one, if they are separate businesses, you really should not keep the data in a single database as it may cause legal issues in the future. One situation that comes to mind is the possibility that one of two businesses may be sold, which would likely include any relevant data.
