Change default value in Studio

I need to change the default value to one of my fields.

so I go to Studio, select module, select field. And I see Field Editor with my field properties. But I can't change these properties.These properties are disabled for some reason. Why??

I know that I can change default value through vardefs $dictionary[ ...], but I need it to be changeable without editing php files.

you can modify custom field properties via studio, but for the out of the box fields, these will appear as grayed out and the properties can only be modified in the code.
