Change Employee Username to First Name

Since we're using LDAP AD authentication, users have to login using their assigned AD usernames which are quite cryptic (eg. reception4, mgmt2). Its fine for login but this username also appears in the "assigned to" field. It makes it very difficult for everyone else to figure out who is assigned to what.

Can I change the "assigned to" field to something else other then the AD username, such as first name?

You can use Sugar's show full name functionality in admin->System Settings->Show Full Name (not Login)->CHECKED.
