Change to modules detailviewdefs.php not effective

Hello. I have made a change to modules/Leads/metadata/detailviewdefs.php but when I go into the detail view of a lead the change is not in effect. Could this be a caching problem, and if so how do I fix it? (I'm working in developer mode). Otherwise, am I changing the file in the wrong place?

You need to modify the file custom/modules/Leads/metadata/detailviewdefs.php.
