Default Changes in Admin / System Settings are not persistent

    Hi, everybody,

I'm relatively new to SugarCRM but have a bit of a problem.

I did a search on the forum but was unable to find a similar problem. When I change some settings in the System Settings (Admin mode), the changes cannot be made permanent. I.e. I check e.g. Prevent User customizable Homepage layout and save it. It looks ok when the pages refreshes. But when I click on Admin again and go into System Settings and the box is not checkmarked anymore. There is no effect on the user interface either. Same issues appear to be with the some other fields but not all.. This confuses me because I would suspect a problem with DB connection.

I tried with Firefox and IE 7 (both last versions fully patched). I'm running sugar OS 4.5.1e build 1049 on redhat ES (VMware'd) and mysql.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Klaus
