Changes to language file en_us.lang.php not reflected

I am trying to change the browser title.

I have modified the file includes/language/en_us.lang.php

line: 'LBL_BROWSER_TITLE' =>'Title here',

The permissions on the file are set to 777 so I override it fine, but no changes I make are reflected online. The browser title still reads 'SugarCRM'

I have also changed some of the tab labels through admin, so 'accounts' now reads 'client accounts', yet the language file still says 'accounts'

Where is sugar getting these definitons from? It is a fresh install of Version 5.2.0e. Where is the language file referenced from?

I hope someone can point me in the right direction... I'm sure I'm missing something here! Thank you in advance.

Ok so I have changed the title from the admin>system settings. I am still curious to know why I can't make changes direct to the language file though.

You need to run a Quick Repair in the admin page -- that goes through and pulls in the changes from all the language files, etc.

I made a change to my en_us.lang.php file by adding a new value for the Industry_dom dropdown.

But, even after doing a "Quick repair and rebuild", the change is not reflected on the Industry dropdown (or the dropdown editor) in the SugarCRM page.

Can someone suggest what could be wrong? I am using sugarcrm version 6.

maybe you have caching on your php enabled so the stuff is cached and it's not refreshing.

This label could also be defined in some custom file , which have preferece over the standard one. Maybe you can look at file custom/includes/language/en_us.lang.php or make a search for string 'LBL_BROWSER_TITLE' over the files under custom folder. Once you find it, is just change it there and repair/rebuild your sugar.
