changes in Studio are not implemented

Same symptom all over the studio and drop-down editor: you can add fields, and can add items to drop-down menus, and you can save it, but nothing is being saved. And what IS being saved, is unusable.

Studio- In the studio, when adding a new field 'ddd' and giving it the display label 'ddd', after saving it, the display label becomes 'LBL_DDD'.

Layout- When trying to add such a field to ANY layout, it adds itself, and then goes back to the left menu after saving or deploying.

Drop-down- the new value is being added to the list, and can be dragged around. After saving, the new value is gone.

There's no error message. Only 'Done' messages. As if everything's peachy.

Apache error log: nothing...

Sugar version 5.0.0b (Build 3150) running on LAMP (Linux)

Hi Dotan

You may facing a write permission issue.
Check the user and group used by apache to get started, have a look on httpd.conf for that.
Then run this command as root:

chown -R <the_user>.<the_group> /path/to/sugar

Try customizing again.
You also should consider upgrading to newer version, 5.2.0c.

Thanks André. I'll give it a try and publish the results.

The weird thing is, that nothing was changed in the system, and it just stopped working properly one day.

We'll see...

Indeed, it was a permissions issue. And apache.apache solved that one.
