    Default checking email through sugarcrm

    I use godaddy for my email. The godaddy server (secureserver.net) keeps all my emails for 10 days before it deletes them. I do this because I use outlook, a blackberry, and webmail to check my emails.

    When I add all the login information into sugarcrm and click check mail, it adds every email from my server into sugarcrm. When I click check mail again, it adds every single email again. If I have 300 emails, I now have 600 loaded into sugarcrm.

    Is there a way to stop sugarcrm from creating duplicate emails?

    Go to the Inbound E-mail Settings section in your settings, then access the Advanced options.

    Enable the option "Import only since last check" and try again.

    Your mileage might vary, but it is worth a shot.

    hi man,

    regarding this, may i know which version of the sugar you currently using?
    please double check the database for the email table , message_id column length, is it varchar(100). It should be more, maybe u alter it to varchar(255).

    the concept of the sugarcrm download is base on the message_id, if the id is not match, it will be treat as a new email & downloaded into the sugarcrm.

    Above might not be the exact issue that you facing, but might be a possible issue.

    This is a good point. I've seen this be a problem at a client's site before.

    To the Sugar team, does the 5.0 e-mail rewrite address this issue in some way?

    In 5.0, message_id column is 255 varchar instead of 100 varchar
