Default clearing drop-down list selections in My Accounts Dashlet filters

    Here's the problem:

I have added two custom fields to the My Accounts Dashlet that both draw from the same drop-down list. The first selection in the dropdown list is -blank-, so there are many accounts that have no data in this field.

    Two problems:

    1. The -blank- option doesn't appear in the drop-down list in the dashlet (even though it appears in the search panel and the Accounts edit view)...thus you cannot show accounts that have no data in that particular field
    2. I can find no way to clear a selection...by this i mean, if you select X from one drop-down and Y from the second, then decide you don't want to filter on the second, you are still forced to select something....i.e., you can't unselect a drop-down item, you can only select a different item.

These issues combine to make the dashlet not very useful... Is there a way to clear a selection? Is there a way to show the "blank" option?
    Thanks.

    SOLVED!!!

Simply a case of not knowing an easy keystroke...all you have to do is hold down the CTRL key while clicking on an item in the drop-down menu and it will unselect.

    Duhhh...
