Unhappy "Close and create new" call from lead fails on save

I've run into this a few times in the last couple days, has it happened to anyone else?

I make a call from a "lead" (and I have only seen this happening in leads, calls from "accounts" haven't had the problem), click "close and create new", put in the info for the new call (change the date and description, generally), click "save" and for some reason sugar loads the calls:home module rather than the new call, as it normally would. when I check on the account, the last call has been succesfully closed but the new call hasn't been created.

Default Re: "Close and create new" call from lead fails on save

This doesn't just happen from "close and create new" it happens from edit on subpanel, list view, and detail view. Right now the only way for me to edit a call on a lead is to "mass update" from list view - so I can only change the date. I'm pretty sure the only way I can create a new call for a lead is to do the "Schedule call" from the lead detail view... help?
