ComboBox Issue

Hi All

I built a custom module
There is a NAME FIELD
I wanna add title field (Prof, Phd, Dr, Assit) before it and title field must be combobox (1 in my picture)

I really getting difficulty while adding a pre-field before a field like in the below picture

Also I never add SELECT field (2 in my picture)

Could someone explaine in detail how?

go in module builder, select your custom module and create a new field, selecting "Dropdown" type; then select "Salutation_dom" as value list. Save and publish.

The field you are talking about is called "Relate". It allows you to "link" data coming from another module. This particular field automatically adds for you the buttons SELECT and CLEAR.

If you have more question about customising SugarCRM, take a look at the manual: http://www.sugarcrm.com/crm/index.ph...=OS&Itemid=375

There you can choose the right one depending on the version you are using.

I did what u said till "Save and Publish" i saved and PUBLISHED

And then go to STUDIO but there is no field ?

Before that in Salutation_dom there is MR+MRS+MSS etc..

I built new dropdown instead of it

Last question; Can i do all of these (what u said) in STUDIO

After you built the dropdown, you have to decide where you want it visible: go in Studio, select your module, select layout, select which layout you want it in (usually editview and detailview), then again, save and publish.

Before that in Salutation_dom there is MR+MRS+MSS etc..

Yes, in Studio you can do almost everything on existing fields. If a field doesn't exist, create it in module builder (save) then go in Studio to finish.

so just create the custom module in module builder, then add fields in Studio.

I did all...But the consequence is this



What i couldnt do that: DropDown is my TİTLE FIELD and i wanna put NAME FIEL close right of the TITLE FILED (red box made in PhotoShop)

Your dropdown is for salutation, you need to create a text field for the name; after that you can adjust the layout of your custom module's editview going in studio ->(custom module name)->layout->editview-> drag&drop your text field to the same row your salutation dropdown is.

Just for curiosity' sake: have you read the manual?
It contains many answers to basic questions on Sugar customisation.
