Common Email to group on New record in Accounts

Dear All,

We use the Community Edition version 5.2.0

Would like to send a common email to the a common email id (like common@mydomain.com) everytime there are new additions to the accounts list.

Ultimately would like to see whether we could send a daily or weekly digest to the entire group everytime of the changes to the accounts list.

There are a few different ways to do this:
1) Create a logic hook that triggers on any new Account addition that emails that address immediately
2) Create a scheduled process that gets called nightly/weekly and emails all new Accounts since the last run time
3) Create a dummy user with that email address. Make sure the "Notifiy on Assignment" is checked for that email. Anytime a new Account is created assign to that dummy user by default so that the email gets sent

There are probably a few others as well.

The 3rd option was not something i wanted to do as it would create confusion whenever specific cases need to assigned.

Can you (or anyone else) help me know if there are instances of codes of the first two options (logic hook & or scheduled process) already embedded for any other feature in the the SugarCRM CE edition.

This will help understand the logic applied & could form the base of my work on sugar.

Also wanted the daily digest to capture some fields like 'Name of account', 'Created by', 'Assigned to' etc so that the team can get this data in their update.
