communication failure (email)

when i try to setup a new email account, i get this message:

communication failure

and nothing happens.

i have only one user (me), and im working on a fresh install.

anyone can help me?

there may be password wrong , pls check all the settings again. which version you are you using?

hi,

password and username are ok (no special chars).

version = 5.2i.

anyway, tring to setup some email accounts, i've found that i get issues only when i try to setup an account with SSL option.

with an account that noy use SSL, everythings works fine.
