    Exclamation Companies "Warning" message given..

When browsing the Companies area within Sugar Open Source 4.5.1e I get the following error -

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/SugarOS-Full-4.5.1d/include/utils.php on line 1285

This error is not causing us functionality issues (yet).. any ideas how to stop this please?

    Hello sherlock,

There's a function named get_select_options_with_id_separate_key() that deals with handling dropdowns-- this is the function throwing your error.

Have you added any custom fields to the Companies/Accounts module, especially any Dropdown type fields?

    Hello Julian,

Yes we have added custom fields and drop downs to Companies/Accounts module -

COMPANIES / custom fields - FIVE ADDED
COMPANIES / dropdowns - TWO ADDEED

They are all in use.. do you have any further suggestions please to narrow down the issue?

    Alexis.

    Hello Alexis,

Have you created any new dropdowns, but left them empty (without adding any key/value pairs)? That could be causing this issue.

Please post your ./include/utils.php file here-- I can modify it to add some logging, then have you try again.

    Hello,

As far as I know all customs are defined with values.

    utils.php as attached

    Thank you Julian!

Alright, replace your existing ./include/utils.php with the version I've attached. Visit the page which generates the error again, then check your sugarcrm.log file. You should see a section that reads "malformed dropdown contains these labels."

Please copy/paste that entire section (including the lines below it) into a reply here. Thanks!

    Julian,

I made a mistake.. the sugarcrm.log file was full so I deleted it and recreated a new one with the same name etc.. now nothing is logging to that file.. I completed chmod on it and still its not being written too -

    -rwxrwxrwx 1 www-data www-data 0 2007-10-15 14:39 sugarcrm.log

do you have any ideas please?

    Alexis.

It could be that my code is not being triggered (therefore nothing would be logged). Try setting your log level to debug, then visiting the Sugar page where the errors are generated again. Here are some instructions on how to change your logging level:
