Company Logo - still not appearing

Hi

am still having problem while uploading my company logo.

this is what i have done so far
the image file is a .png / .jpg (used both formats) size 212*40...

have done quick repair...my cache folder is writeable...but where do i see my file permission settings?

i saw one of the queries posted and they talked about CHMOD 777. what is this?

am using sugarcrm 5.2 (build 5688) and windows XP.

I need someone to spoon feed me!

Hi,

CHMOD is using in Linux OS to set permissions.

After upload logo does it appear on the cache folder?

Look for this file:

your_sugar_root_directory/themes/Sugar/images/company_logo.png

If it's not there, create it or copy and rename the file you created previously.

Make sure it is the correct size (212px × 40px) ... you shouldn't have to worriy too much about file permissions on windows.

I guess this is typo error by salesagility.

if i try to access the below url, it is showing forbidden message. So, it is very clear the problem is due to insufficient read permission.

Generally these kind of problems wont come in windows machines. Are you using IIS?

Which part of my reply mentioned anything about the custom directory? Go to the themes directory that hangs off the root.

Thanks for trying to help me out! and sorry for bothering but this needs to be resolved ASAP

Now am not sure what to do; but it appears that I am not following the correct process

My cache folder is writable, the file is a 212*40 (jpg/png), have changed sugar themes while uploading ( as suggested in other forums) ie have used sunset, classic,lite almost all of them, but to no avail.

Now coming on to the "themes directory" under "root" this is what i have been following as pasted below and its dead end for me

Hi

Give Read, Write & Execute permissions for Owner & Group. Give only Read & Execute permissions for Others. This should be done for the following folders & files.

Sugar
images
company_logo.png

I understand your point but my dilemma is I cannot find the folders & files u listed

As you can make out from the above snapshot; there is no other file/ folder other than "root"
Where do I get the custom, themes, sugar file or folder.

Where are these folders/files located??

May be you are looking at wrong location. Do you have ssh access?
