    Question compatible PHP versions

In the official list of "Supported Platform Components for Sugar 6.2.x":

Supported Platform Components for Sugar 6.2.x | Open Source Business & Social CRM - SugarCRM

... it says that PHP 5.2 and 5.3 are supported but not PHP 5.2.0, 5.2.7, 5.2.16, or 5.3.5. To me, that doesn't make sense. For example, we use PHP 5.2.4. Is this version now supported or unsupported? Also, there doesn't seem to be a differnce between 5.2 and 5.2.0:

It would be great if somebody at Sugar CRM could improve this overview.

FWIW, I concur with your observation. I am not a fan of this condensed approach either.

I know for example that MSSQL support is very finicky and if you were to use PHP 5.2.8, it'll work, but limping along. Worse if you use something like 5.2.6. Point being, it leaves the door open for *a lot* of misinterpretation.

I am glad I am not the only one who has this impression.

Similarly dubios is the fact that the CE 6.2.1 Application Guide states that "If you are using MySQL, install version 5.0 or 5.1 to use with Sugar 6.2.0."

    Source: http://www.sugarcrm.com/network/help...uide_6.2.1.pdf

It seems to me that choosing the right PHP version for a Sugar CRM installation is like a game of Russian roulette ;-)

    Precisely.

And if you are on MSSQL, it is like Russian roulette with 3 bullets in the revolver. LOL

    Aaaah, now I understand.

It means "all 5.2.x and 5.3.x versions are supported except the following ones"...
