Complex Campaign Target List Building

Hello,

I can find no way to build lists for campaigns based on semi-complex criteria:

1. Search by any field in the lead, contact, target, etc. sets (for instance I have a customized field "industry" in the Lead record, but I can't build Lead lists based on industry - only First & Last name, Source & Status).
2. I need to have lists built on # of times they have been communicated to, and how (don't send emails to those who have already received email in the last month for instance). I can't find a way to facilitate this.


Any ideas how to facilitate this would be appreciated.
