Comprehensive Case reports

Hi I hope this is the right place for this...

We're a software development company, new to Sugar, and wanting to use reporting from Cases to support our development Scrum process.

I'd like to print the details of each case - a feature request, bug, etc - along with Notes and Activities on file for it. We will then use the paper to physically run the scrum. Old fashioned but it works really well. We might even use this as the 'job sheet' for developers

Now - how do you do such a report from Sugar - or do you have to use external tools such as Jasper etc?
I'm happy to export to a Word Merge etc for final presentation if need be.

I see enormous benefit from being able to do this - in case management, in support of simple project management, and many real life business situations.

I like Sugar generally but still seem to have conceptual issues with reporting

What version of Sugar are you using? If you are using Pro or Ent, then there is a Reports module which you can use to create this report. Enterprise also lets you create custom SQL queries to create more customized and complex reports in addition to the reports module.

If you are using CE, then you can install a 3rd party plugin like Zucker reports. This requires knowledge of SQL and the Sugar database structure, since you will need to build the custom queries. You could then run these reports and export the data as described.

Have a look at http://www.sugarforge.org/projects/kinamureporter/. This will also help with the Reporting and will not require you to have SQL skills or deep database knowledge.
