config.php not being updated when I click save in system settings

Hello,

I am using Version 5.0.0b (Build 3150)

And I am having the following problem

When I click save in the "system settings" or in the "System Locale Settings" It looks like it saved my changes.. cause they are changed on the screen. but if I goto another page and then come back, those settings are back to the default. I also notice that none of my settings are saved into my config.php.

I've tried changing all permissions and ownership on the config.php file but with no luck. even 777 rights with user/group apache didin't work.

Any ideas? Any one else having this problem?

Some changes in the configuration are stored as patches in config_override.php

Perhaps this file is not writable.

Thank you very much I created a blank file called config_override.php in the root folder and set the permission to 0777 and it worked.

OK, this looks as if your root folder would not have the permission 0777.
Please check this.
