Configure Tabs does not seem to be working

I have tried to customize the available tabs but it does not seem to be saving the changes. It works on an individual user level from teh My Account link but not from the configure tabs link. I also tried changing the settings by editing each user from the admin user editi screen but does not work either. Could it be a file or directory permissions issue?

I seem to be having a similar problem. I am using 2.5b and when I edit the tabs and press save the tabs don't change. When I got back to edit tabs they show the default.

It seems as if this isn't doing anything at all

I posted this in the SugarPro forums too and I receided the following reply from another user: It fixed my problem.

This issue will be addressed in the next patch coming shortly. If you need a fix right away check in your config table if these values exist. If they do not run these queries
INSERT INTO config (category, name, value) VALUES ('MySettings', 'tab', '');
INSERT INTO config (category, name, value) VALUES ('info', 'sugar_version', '2.5a');
