I need to create some reports from data stored in Sugar and need help accessing the data. We are on 5.0.2k installed on a Mac. I know nothing about Sugar or Macs.
What type of database is used?
Can I create an ODBC driver to it?

The OS is 10.5.8
It is the server.
The clients connect through a web page. They are XP and Win 7.
The reports I need are on quotes and different types of sales calls made (visits, phone, e-mail).
Hi,

Maybe another reporting tools is compatible with your version of sugar, kinamu, zucker, ... you can look a sugarforge.org and sugarexchange.com
if your sugarcrm is on 10.5.8 Server, you can connect with : SequelPro http://www.sequelpro.com/ from a Mac Client. I don't know a windows client with ssh capability to connect database.
But these compoment is to use if you know SQL Language.
I think, you need to ask some "sugar consultant" to check and find your requirement and upgrade/install all.

To add on..
It is possible to connect to the database via ODBC. The database server itself (in your case) would be MySQL. If you Google "mysql odbc" you should be able to quickly find a place to download the drivers.
Note that you may have to fiddle with the MySQL security settings a bit if you take that route as it needs to be configured to allow remote connections.
