Contact Name field lost in DetailView Layout

I have searched high and low in forum and wiki, but can't find any solution...

I was making some changes to the layout in the contact layout - detailed view and moved the "Name" field to the toolbox, wanting to move it back again later. In continuing my work, I was then asked to save which I did, but then the name field disappeared and now I only have salutation, first name and last name. As far as I can see the name is a concatenation of the three fields, but I can't see where it is defined.
Because I had not used the "Save & Deploy" I then thought that I could just discharge the layout and again use the current layout. But I can't seem to do that either.

I really would like the name field to appear again as it is in the standard installation.

I would appreciate any help and hints.

Easiest way is to get rid of the detailview in the custom directory. This way you will be using the detailview from the modules directory and should be able to find it again!

I have done this myself. This is a bug in Sugar as well that hopefully will be fixed in the comming releases. What I have learned is to never move field off the page unless I am absolutely sure I won't need then. You can move cutom fields on and off but try not to with the standard fields. Best way is to add a row or two and stash those field in the extra rows until you know what you want to do with them!

it should be in the <web_path>/crm/custom/modules/<Account-Contact-whatever>/views/...

Do I just delete the detailviewdefs.php file?
by the way it is located in the ...custom/modules/Contacts/metadata/ folder

Of course I have just run into some permission problems, but I am sure I will get there..

Just to let you know. I got the permission thing sorted and found that I had to delete the detailviewdefs.php file from the following directory:

/public_html/sugar/custom/working/modules/Contacts/metadata/

I am so glad that I didn't do "save & deploy".. then I think it would have been more difficult..
