My contacts and accounts show up on my home page but neither list or data from these lists shows up through a search. (Leads do show up through a search for some reason). Any advice would be appreciated!

Try to press the clear button. If this doesn't help repair the roles.

I am having a very similar problem. In all the searches I perform, the accounts and contacts do not display, even when search fields are all cleared. Instead it displays (0-0 of 56) [56 being the total number of contacts]. This means that we cannot add a contact to an account since when we try to search in the field, nothing displays. Any ideas?
Try going to Admin--> System settings. Look at the first field, "Listview items per page". Is this set at 0? If so, you want to make sure to change it to something else.
Have you added any fields to the list view? If so, try to sort by another field in the list view (like name). See if this makes your records 're-appear'.
If this is not the issue, then we need more information. What version of Sugar are you using? Are you using Role security? Team security? Have you installed any plug-ins? Is this occurring for all users? Has this always been an issue or is this just recently?
