Contacts disapear after import

I've got SugarCRM 4.5.1c and 4.5.1d installs on a OpenSuse Linux 10.2

In both instances, I can import Accounts in CSV format and then go in and see the accounts listed, and do searches on them.

However, in both instances after importing the accounts I go to import the contacts. I import them from a csv file about 100 at a time. Sugar tells me the import is successful and I see the list of imported contacts on the screen that says that my import was successful.

My problem is that if I go to the main contact screen, I don't see any contacts listed, and get no results when I search for a contact that was in the successfully imported list.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did you find a solution? I have the same problem linked to an sql error in the contacts module.

SELECT contacts.id , contacts_cstm.*, as name, contacts.first_name

Shouldn't have "as name" after the comma. I don't know where to look to fix this and the install is pretty useless as-is.
