Contacts into multiple accounts

Hi,

Looked around and cannot find a answer to this one, so forgive me if it has already been answered. Does anyone know how to put a contact into more than one account without getting two (&more) contact records in the contact section?

I wonder what happens if you have 2 records in the accounts_contacts table with one contact linked to 2 accounts? Seems no reason to have such a table unless there was an expectation of a one to many (or many to many) relationship.
