Contacts List-View Layout CHANGED but List View still shows old layout

I logged in as a Admin user ... mage a minor change in Studio to Contacts : ListView Layout. I keep checking in Studio ... the change shows up there... BUT when viewing Contacts, the list still is the old format without the change. ANY IDEAS? I am running CE 6.1.2 on Linux, Have tried a diff Browser, Tried restarting Apache. HELP !! :-)

Two hints:

Make sure you ran Quick Repair and Rebuild (it may be a cache issue);
Make sure there is no Saved Search (it overrides the ListView layout).

No BUT I found a HUGE clue ... turns out when I log in as User 1 ... and change the List View Layout, it actually changed it for USER 2 instead ... any ideas on this ?

Reset user preferences of buggy user.
