I am new to Sugar and would like to have the Contacts associated with Opportunities rather then the Accounts. I am running the community edition 6.1.1.
Any information on this would be appreciated if it is possible.
Thanks
Nath

Hello,
You can create custom relationship between those modules using studio.
Thumbs up.

WYSIWYG now in studio!(Version 1.1 is out now!)
Sugar Feeds on your personalized home pages like iGoogle, My Yahoo!, etc.
Fab Tools! > Dashlet Not Followed Opportunities for past six Months
You can relate Contacts to Opportunities just like you relate Contacts to Accounts.
There is a Many to Many relationship between both modules.
Contacts related to an Account is an important information, once it describes which people work on a customer of yours.
Eventually some of these Contacts may act as Stack Holder of an Opportunity with this Customer.
Can you tell us if all Customers Contacts will work on all Opportunities?
Cheers

I'm dealing with a similar issue ...
I'm able to relate contacts to opportunities... (this is the default behavior in sugar).
What I'd like to do is either:
* Have the contacts created on the opportunites module ALSO be related to the Account (so they show up in the Account view)... I'm guessing this is probably a simple logic hook.
* Or Change the Contacts subpanel on the Opportunities module so it shows the related Account Contacts instead of (it's the Contacts Related to the Opportunities). Also, modifying the quick create so that when you click create contact on a opportunity it relates to the Account instead of the opportunity.
