Controlling Information Users See Based on Team

Hey everyone,

I am new to Sugar so I apologize if this is a straightforward thing to do.

I want to create Teams to put Users into and then have all work those Users put into Sugar to not be shown to a member of a different Team. For example, I want the human resources group to not see the Contacts of the business development group.

How would I accomplish this?

Hi there,

The Teams feature is only available in Sugar Pro & Ent, if you have one of those then you can create the teams from the admin panel and it will do just what you need.

In the other hand, if you're using SugarCE, then you'll have to use one of the available teams modules from Sugar Forge or Sugar Exchange.I recommend the Security Suite Teams, you can find it here:

You should test both on a dev. instance.

Thanks for the speedy response. Yes we are using the Enterprise level and I set up the Teams and put the users into the proper teams, but they are still able to see each other's contacts. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong.

Ok then, one thing that happened to me was that the records (accounts, contacts, opps, etc,) were saved under the "Global" Team by Default, so everyone was able to see everything, you need to be sure that the records are saved under the right team and that team only.
