Default Convert lead displays extra fields

    Hi.

When we click on Convert Lead from a Lead, we get a lot of additional fields that aren't in the editview or detailview of the modules listed. For instance, we're not using "website" with any of the modules; it's hidden from all detail and editviews. However, this field appears as an available field when we try to convert a lead.

This KB article describes how you can create matching custom fields, enter them into editview and detailview, and put them in all the related modules, and you should be good to go. Though I'm hiding my "website" field, it's still displaying.

Any way to limit the fields displayed on the Convert Leads page?

    Take a look at modules/Leads/metadata/converdefs.php

I've never tried it myself, but try copying that to custom/modules/Leads/metadata/ and then make your edits in the copy and rebuild.

Just wanted to let you know that that worked wonderfully. Just edited that file, threw it in the custom dir, and used the field names out of Studio to make the fields appear. You can even mess with the layout of the page a bit by changing column widths in that file.

    Thanks!
