i started with 5.2.0c Community Edition. Made a package in module builder with a bunch of custom modules. Then deployed that package and made went into STUDIO and made some relationships and field changes in Studio.
Now if i was to upgrade to 5.2.0j would the best approach be to:
idea 1:
from 5.2.0c installation:
Go Module builder -> Export my custom package
Go STudio -> Export customisations
Install 5.2.0j
Use module loader to install my exported custom package from modulebuilder
use Modulebuilder ->deploy my package
then use module loader to import my exported studio customisations
OR
idea 2:
do i copy/overwrite a particular folder say \custom and \modules and dump the database over a clean 5.2.0j installation.
OR
idea 3:
keep my 5.2.0c installation and its customisations and run SugarCE-Patch-5.2.0j.zip from the Upgrade Wizard?
Im just not sure if you can do:
a database dump from 5.2.0c and overwrite 5.2.0j
a copy the folder \root\custom or \root\module over 5.2.0j and not ruin any system files that have been updated in the 5.2.0j and not ruin any custom fields or relationships.
Many thanks
Mark
