Countries and counties/states in drop-downs

The default install seems to treat counties/states and countries in addresses as free-format text fields. Does the open source (community) version of SugarCRM support a more formal selection of country and county or state?

I need to be able to cover a number of countries, including the UK, US and Canada, so any country and state drop-down lists would need to be linked.

I gut a similar Problem, the drop-downs are there (country_dom), but not connected and not connectable
