Create Date on Opportunities vs Original Lead

The create date for our opportunities that were created by converting a lead and creating an opportunity at that time are showing the Opportunities create date as the date the LEAD was originally created, not the date we created the opportunity.

This is causing issues when trying to report out the number of opportunities created this month.

Suggestions on how we can fix this issue?

I have this problem, too. I hadn't noticed it until today (and this Sugar instance has been running for months) so I thought it might have been a customization gone awry, but I don't think any customizations we've done would have caused this to occur.

Have there been any responses to this? I'm using CE 6.1.

Yes I was informed it was a bug that was fixed in 6.1.3
When I was updated to 6.2 the issue was resolved. Hope that helps.

I don't to upgrade past 6.1.0 at the moment but I need to be able to fix this one bug where the lead creation date is incorrectly used as the opportunity creation date when the lead is converted. Can this be done with a logic hook? Can anybody share their code if they've implemented something to address this?
