Create Target List of Contacts that is Filtered by an Accounts-Custom Drop Down

I need to be able to create several Target Lists for Contacts where the results are based on a custom drop-down in their associated Accounts.

For clarification:

I have a custom drop-down under Accounts that is "Target Accounts" and has about 12 different selection options. Our sales/marketing department needs to be able to pull Target Lists of all Contacts for "Target Accounts" of a certain type. Since the drop-down is actually in the Accounts section and not on the Contact itself, I haven't been able to easily find a way to do this.

I am open to purchasing an add-on module if necessary and the Enhanced Search add-on was suggested, but I see no wording in its description that would lead me to believe that it would do this "out of the box".

Thanks for any assistance/guidance that you might be able to provide me. I have two instances of SugarCRM that I am working with to try and solve this. I have a copy of 4.5.1i running and I have a copy of 5.2.0a and both are OpenSource/Community versions that originally got from JumpBox.

I think that the easiest route is to get a non community edition with reports because then you can create a target list from a report and execute what you are trying to do.

If you are set against purchasing a version of Sugar then you can probably start looking at customizing the popup box used to select targets so that it will show the related account and target account type. Then you can just search, filter, and make selections to create the target list that you need.
