created custom field but not showing

I edited my Accounts Module with a new custom field (decimal) using Studio, yet its not showing up when I go to the Accounts tab. It was saved, because when I I see it there.

Is there some sort of "Publish" button, the only thing I saw see Studio is a pull down asking whether it should be "enabled/disabled". (currently set to enabled)

yes, there is a save & publish button right next to the Save button.

Hi

1) You have to add the custom field in both DetailView as well as EditView.
2) You need to click Save&Publish button in he both the case, which is present on the top right just next to the save button.

OK....I feel like an idiot.

I created the custom field in studio, then went back to the custom layout to insert them into my module (im editing the contacts module). When I go back to the Contacts link I clearly see it listed, BUT when I hit edit (so i can populate the field) the field dissapears.....what am I doing wrong.

Everything is being saved and published.

I'd say check the Edit View and make sure the field shows up there. It sounds like that's where the problem was. I think this kind of happened to me too, and I feel like I had to put the custom fields in. And then go back in and fix the labels and then everything showed up fine. Good luck!
