Creating a call from inside a contact doesn't list that contact as an invitee

I noticed this with 4.5.x and now with a new install of 5.0GA. Here is the scenario. I have created an account and contact. I then go into this contact and click the "Schedule Call" button in the Activities subpanel. Then I hit the "Full Form" button. It now shows the Calls editview page, and at the bottom is a section "Scheduling" with ONLY my username listed. I type a subject and hit the "Save" button.

I am now returned to the Contact detailview page, and my new call is listed under Activities. If I click on this call, it brings me to the Calls detailview with myself listed in the Users subpanel AND the Contact I was creating it from listed in the contacts subpanel. Further, if I hit the "Edit" button to go to the call's editview BOTH myself AND the contact are listed under the "Scheduling" area.

So, when creating a call from inside a contact, why isn't the "linked" person listed as an invitee before I save it for the first time?
