Creating Leads

Hi Everyone I'm new to sugar crm. I've been tasked with managing the back end of the sugar crm server and don't know too much about the front end functionality. We are currently on version 5.2.0i. I have a user asking a question about creating leads and attaching them to accounts.

Here's the exact question: "When entering a lead for under the account screen, the lead stays with the account. When a lead is created outside of the account and you try to link it to an account, it does not work."

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Hi after creating a lead from the Leads module you can convert the Leads to Accounts,Contacts and Opportunity.
On the detail view there is button called Convert Leads.
After converting Leads you can link to Accounts.
