    Question creating a new call for an account doesn't work anymore

    When I select an account and try to add a new call to it through the activities panel, I can't edit the fields (see attached screenshot).

    To be more precise, if I click on the Description field for example, the cursur doesn't even appear. It's like I never clicked it at all.

    If, however, I access the Calls module directly, everything works as expected.

    Why is that and how can this problem be solved?

    Here is some additional information:

    * using Quick Repair didn't help
    * Firebug doesn't complain

    It appears as if the problems we experience may be related to some manual (PHP) code changes we have performed during the last few weeks. We naturally made backups of the CRM installation before every change.

    However, it was several days after the last changes that we noticed to problem with the accounts module described above. As you can imagine, our employees have added numerous entries to the database since then.

    As a result, if we ran a backup, this data would be lost - which is unaccaptable.

    What can we do now?

    I see two options:

    1) Exporting all data, creating a new Sugar CRM installation, importing the previously exported data. But would this work?
    2) Somehow fixing the problem described above. But how?
