Creating Quotes with Hourly Ranges

Okay, we've recently moved from QB to SugarCRM PRO v5.2 for our quotes. VERY NICE STUFF. Works great, and the quotes are pretty. Good work.

For technical services, we just creates a Services product that is our hourly rate, and then we can use the quantity to set that. Fine.

However, sometimes we create quotes that provide a range of hours, not a defined number. Anyone that does hourly consulting that includes supports both fixed bids and *hourly* charges does this now and then.

So, the Quotes module supports fixed bids just fine.

But I'm curious if anyone has supported quotes with ranges in them?

For example, installed of:

Technical Implementation - 100 hours

We may say:

Technical Implementation - 70 to 110 hours

Hmm, I suppose we could put Quantity=110 and put a comment in the line item that it is a "Range: 70 to 110 hours", and the bid includes the high number.

Still, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
