Creating target lists based on reported click-thrus

Running Sugar Version 5.2.0 (Build 5380). We recently sent out an email newsletter, everything processed fine and with no problem. The newsletter had 5 different links that were set up as tracker urls. The click-thrus are reporting back correctly and with no problem.

Our next step that we want to do is to send out targeted emails with specific messages to the sub-groups of contacts who clicked on the different links in the newsletter.

I know I need to create:

- target list "a" containing those contacts who clicked on link "a" in newsletter
- target list "b" containing those contacts who clicked on link "b" in newsletter
etc.

As I said, all of these links were set up as tracker urls, and are reporting back correctly.

I just cant figure out how to identify the contacts based on which tracker urls they clicked on, and get them into a target list.

Does anyone know how to do this in Sugar?

Does anyone know how to do this in CE? Or is this a functionality reserved for Pro and Enterprise?

Hello,

the campaigns module in CE is pretty much the same as the campaign module in Pro/Ent. The only difference is that in Pro/Ent, you have a reports module where you can create a Target/Lead/Contact report, and pull that list of contacts and emails into a target list in the campaign module.

As it stands, you can pull your entire list of Click Throughs into a new target list, but you cannot separate from the different click through links. With the reporting module in Pro/Ent, you could create a Contact report that links to the campaign and campaign tracker, and then pull that report list into a new target list. However, this does require some work, as the reports module displays the tracker id and not the name, so you would need to know which id represents which tracker.

Other options could achieve what you are looking to do, but would require custom coding

Thanks for answering my question. That's what I thought was the case, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

This functionality sure would be nice to have, and I can't be the first person to have wanted to do this. Maybe in an upcoming release, or a developer might put something together that does this?????
