CSS not working! Sugar6RC3! Need help. Wife will leave me if i don't log of computer!

I have tried the following, changing permissions all directories and files "recursively". Tried 775 and 777 (Hostgator said to change Cache and themes to 777)
* config.php (666)
* cache/ and all subdirectories and files (777 and tried 775)
* custom/ and all subdirectories and files (777 and tried 775)
* data/ and all subdirectories and files (777 and tried 775)
* modules/ and all subdirectories and files (777 and tried 775)
* themes and all subdirectories and files (777 and tried 775)
I still get the weird CSS format

Can someone please help me! If I don't get off my computer, my wife will leave me!!!

Apart from the fact that she is completely rigth, you should set the rigths to the Sugar ROOT directory not only to it's subdirectories.

Best way would be to install the whole thing on a WINXP (stable version of a MS operating system) under XAMPP. Very easy, no damned chmod problems...

And why don't you use a stable SuagrCRM version like 5.5.4?

Okay I am going to try setting the root folder to 777. And there should be a "marriage counseling" module for those like myself.

By changing the permissions of the Sugar root to anything other than 755 it would not allow the installer to run. This really shouldn't be so hard. I have tried sugar 5.5.4 also and somehow my permissions were wrong. I not sure what to do at this point.

Did you set the default_permissions in config.php as revommended in http://kb.sugarcrm.com/category/system/os/ ?
