.csv import populating all users

I've ran into a problem when importing contacts to SugarCRM. The actual import works fine when i upload the .csv file but once the process is complete i've noticed that it populates the contacts for every user in the database.

So my question would be whether or not there is a fix to only upload the contacts to the signed in user..??

Make sure that you map the assigned_user_id field as part of the import process and select the logged in user as the default value for that mapping.

Thx for your response. So do i need to create another database field? I only see Account ID and Assigned User as possible mapping options, i dont see... assigned_user_id.

Is the system designed to populate everyones portal with contacts, meetings...etc. ?

I've created a database field that assigns the specific contact to that user and it generates in the application fine, but every other user who logs in will still see the contacts that i imported
