custom code field in subpanel view

Hi every one..

i dont know anyone ask this que before or not....

i have a problem in the subpanel view...

I have one module Product. In that i have Vendor subpanel..
i create the one custom code named as Total Order.. so every time i add this field in subpanel is show me blank data so any one help me

i m using sugarcrm 5.0 orc..

Did u just add field defiition?

Does it exist on db?

If not exist - how did you calculete it?

This can be tiresome because custom code is not available in subpanels afaik. You should set the field with a logic hook. Make sure that the field is known by SugarCRM (extend vardefs with a non-db field). Then you can just add it to listviewdefs.

SugarDev is right, and just to revamp his suggestion, the logic_hook can be the process_record.

Can u pls explain me how to add field with the help of logic hook ????

I tried it but i m not getting access of subpanel.. I dont know how to add new custom field with the help of " process_record".

Right nw i m only able to add/delete my parent module data not subpanel data

pls help me more
