Custom DropDown Menu

I made two custom drop down menus and I am using sugar 4.5.1d but when I go to add them into the layout and view, I do not see an option. So how do we add the dropdown menus in the layout. Any idea

Never mind..figured it out...Had to make a custom field first. Duh :-)
