    Default Custom Dropdown values not saved

    I just recently installed CE 5.5 and immediately upgraded to the Pro trial version. When I go to Admin>Dropdowns and add a new dropdown it addss it successfully but when I add values to that dropdown it acts like it saves it but when I go back in it only has a blank value saved. Is this an issue with the trial version? Is anyone else having this issue, and if so how do you fix it?

    @cafevino-

    I *highly* recommend filing a support request now that you're a pro customer

    What I suspect is happening is that the key is not being either added to the database record OR there is a mismatch between the keys available in the dropdown array in ./custom/include/language/en_us.lang.php and the key that is stored in the database.

    Either way, Support should be able to help you figure it out.

    I just tried something else... I noticed my host upgraded the SugarCRM CE version to 5.5 from 5.2, so I installed it to a new directory and deleted my old install. Then I upgraded that to the pro version. It works now. Not sure why.

    Perseonally I'm having the same issue.

    Create a drop down with a list if years, save it, add it to a layout. Edit an account and change something in that select and it never displays the value.

    Though I don't accept "oh upgrade to pro" as a valid answer or reason to get around this.

    Has anyone else found the bug that causes this ?

    I quick grep -R for it shows sugar writes it to multiple places, which is always a worry,

    i'm having a similar issue. my custom dropdowns had been working just fine. Our help desk manager asked if i would change the default values on a few items in the Cases, i did, and now.....when we create a Case, complete, and save, those fields become blank. Only after an "Edit", selct the value again, and re-save, is the data from those fields still there.

    thinking an upgrade to 6.0/6.1 would fix the bug, we upgraded, but the problem still persists. any ideas?
