Custom field data will not convert to accounts

Hi all.

Okay, i have an install of Sugar 5.2.0e (build 5626) and i have created 5 new fields and they show up in Leads in all views and when i Import data they populate correctly. My issue is that when i click on 'Convert Lead' and attempt to create an account, although the new fields do show up not all of them automatically populate with the relevant data and when i click to convert the lead to an account NONE on the data shows in the newly created account! I have attempted to use the 'Relationships' option to make it work but all i succeeded in doing was to destroy my install of Sugar, this is THE MOST buggy program i have ever used in my life! Please help or i fear i will have to try something less buggy.

I need to know what to do so that the data moves over into accounts correctly when i convert from a lead.

Hello,

in order for custom fields you create in the leads module to convert to another module, you must create the same custom fields with the same name and data type.

In your example, whatever custom fields you created in the Leads module, you must also go into Studio and create these fields in the Accounts module. Make them the same data type and same database name. When you do so, they will covert over.

Tried to make it work, still cant get the data to trasnfer over...

Is there something i am missing, i have created the same fields in both accounts and leads but still when converting a lead into an account the data just does not transfer over and all the fields remain blank!

The field names are the same as are the data types, i have tried to make this work on three separate installs of sugar and all of them just dont show any data when you transfer over from Leads to Accounts, it is really becomming an issue as i have tried all of the instructions i can find and it just simply will not work.

Really need some help on this one.
